Our Trial Lessons Offer
Gliding and flying in our club - is this something for me?
A valid question - to which we have the perfect answer: our weekend course of trial lessons.
You will fly with us for two full days and take part in flight operations just like our student pilots and gain an insight into the flight operations and gliding training.
Who can take part?
Anyone who is at least 14 years old can take part. A medical examination is not necessary. Those under the age of 18 require a declaration of consent from a parent or guardian.
What does the course of Trial Lessons cost?
120 € for young people, apprentices, students up to 25 years of age 200 € for adults
The course of trial lessons includes two days with several flights as a student pilot in an ASK 21 (our two-seater training glider). You will benefit from our experienced flight instructors and have exciting and unforgettable experiences.
What happens during our Trial Lessons?
After a detailed briefing by one of our flight instructors, you will sit in the glider’s front seat and the flight instructor will sit behind you. From the very beginning, you will have your hand on the control stick and your feet on the rudder pedals, while the instructor controls the aircraft from the rear seat. After a familiarisation period you will perform the first exercises under his guidance.
We meet at 9.00 am at the airfield. We begin with the removal of the aeroplanes from the hangar. After a short briefing, the necessary equipment is brought to the take-off area which is set up we carry out the daily inspection for each glider. Flight operations then begin. You will be fully involved in flight operations and will help to pull the aircraft to the take-off point, attach the aircraft to the launching cable and retrieve landed aircraft from the runway.
After the last flight in the evening the aircraft are brought back to the hangar, washed and then moved inside. Once the hangar doors are closed, we conclude with a short de-briefing.
What happens after the Course of Trial Lessons?
If you decide to join us as a student after the course, you will continue at the level you were at during the trial lessons.
Furthermore €50 of the course fee will be deducted from the admission fee.
We want you to feel at home with us, have fun flying and enjoy unforgettable flying experiences. We look forward to your participation.
